Oleoresin Capsicum (OC) is the active ingredient found in most pepper sprays and is extracted from the placenta—the tissue near the stem—of hot peppers. While OC is responsible for the spray’s burning effect, the percentage of OC listed on a product label does not indicate how strong or effective the spray is. Instead, it simply reflects the amount of red pepper used in the formula. The true measure of a pepper spray's potency is its Scoville Heat Units (SHU) or Capsaicinoid content, not the OC percentage alone.
✈️ TSA Rules for Pepper Spray
Carry-on baggage: Not allowed. Pepper spray is classified as a weapon and must not be packed in carry-on luggage.
Checked baggage: Allowed only if:
It's ≤ 4 fl oz (118 ml)
Equipped with a safety mechanism to prevent accidental discharge
Contains ≤ 2% tear gas (CS or CN) content.
Even if it meets TSA criteria, some airlines still forbid it in checked bags. Always verify with your carrier beforehand.

Return & Exchange Policy
We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If for any reason you need to return or exchange an item, we’re here to help.
30-Day Return Window: You have 30 days from the date of delivery to request a return or exchange.
RMA Required: All returns must be authorized with a valid Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. Please contact our support team to obtain one before sending anything back.
Refunds: Refunds will be issued to the original credit card used for purchase. Shipping charges are non-refundable.
Exchanges: Customers are responsible for shipping costs both ways unless exchanging for a lower-priced item, in which case the price difference will be refunded.
Condition: Returned items must be unused, in original packaging, and in resellable condition.

🔄 Exchanges Within 3 Days
If you are dissatisfied with your item, you may request an exchange for an item of equal or greater value within 3 days of receiving your order. No exchanges will be processed beyond this period.

💰 Case-by-Case Refunds
If Personal Self Defense Weapons authorizes a refund:
A 25% restocking fee will be applied.
Original shipping costs are non-refundable.
You are responsible for return shipping fees.
